This neck warmer can also be worn as a headband. With the leftovers you can make a rumor bracelet and a mini purse!

Abbreviation: yarn over (yo)
Measures: 16″ circumference, 3 1/2″ wide
Gauge: in stockinette stitch, 10 stitches and 12 rows = 4″ by 4″

-Materials-

  • 1 skein Patons Rumor, moonstone – 84 yds (85% acrylic, 15% alpaca, 1% polyester)
  • size 11 knitting needles
  • 1 purple button with a 1 1/2″ diameter
  • yarn needle

-Pattern-

  1. Cast on 9 stitches.
  2. Knit 1 row.
  3. Knit 2, purl 5, knit 2.
  4. Knit 2, decrease, yo, knit 1, yo, decrease, knit 2.
  5. Knit 2, purl 5, knit 2.
  6. Knit 1 row.
  7. Knit 2, purl 5, knit 2.
  8. Knit 2, yo, decrease, knit 1, decrease, yo, knit 2.
  9. Knit 2, purl 5, knit 2.
  10. Repeat numbers 2-9 till piece measures 15″.(ending on row 5)
  11. Knit 6, bind off the 2 stitches you just knitted (by slipping the stitch you just knitted through the loop before it), knit to end.(button hole row)
  12. Knit 2, purl 2, yo, purl 2, knit 2.
  13. Knit 1 row.
  14. Knit 2, purl 5, knit 2.
  15. Bind off, weave in ends.
  16. Sew button underneath the button hole.

This is a super simple bracelet that takes no time to make. Don’t forget to make a mini purse and a jewel neck warmer out of the leftovers from only 1 skein of yarn!

Gauge: in knit stitch, 10 stitches and 12 rows = 4″ by 4″

-Materials-

  • 1 skein Patons Rumor, moon stone – 84 yds (84% acrylic 15% alpaca 1% polyester)
  • size 11 knitting needles
  • yarn needle

-Pattern-

  1. Cast on 20 stitches.
  2. Knit 6 rows.
  3. Bind off leaving a long anough tail to sew with.
  4. Sew the sides together.

Note: numbers 7,8,11 and 15 in the hat pattern use this mark *. Repeat the instructions within the marks.

-Materials-

  • 1 skein Loin Brand Homespun, barley – 185 yds (98% acrylic) (2% polyester)
  • size 10.5  knitting needles
  • yarn needle

-Pattern-

  1. Cast on 60 stitches.
  2. Knit 1, purl 1, to end. (Note: do not join in round. Knit as you do with straight needles)
  3. Repeat number 2 four times. (total of 5 ribbing rows)
  4. Decrease, knit to end.
  5. Purl 1 row.
  6. knit 1 row.
  7. Purl 1 row.
  8. Repeat number 6 and 7 till piece measure 5 1/2″.
  9. Knit 1, decrease, *knit 3, decrease* to end. (ending in knit 3)
  10. Purl 1, decrease, * Purl 2, decrease,* repeat to end. (ending in purl 2)
  11. Knit 1 row.
  12. Purl 1 row.
  13. *Knit 1, decrease,* repeat to end. (ending in knit 2)

Note: if desired, instead of knitting with the beads, you can sew the beads on after you have knitted the bracelet.

-Materials-

  • 1 skein Red Heart Super Saver, brown – 364 yds (100% acrylic) (or leftover worsted weight yarn)
  • size 9 knitting needles
  • 3 alphabet beads
  • 6 black pony beads
  • clasp

Bracelet

  1. String on the yarn, 3 pony beads, 3 alphabet beads, and 3 more pony beads.
  2. Cast on 30 stitches.
  3. Knit 4 rows.
  4. K 4, bring down a bead, k 3, bright down a bead, k 3, bring down  a bead, k 2, bring down a bead, k 3, bring down a bead, k  3, bring down a bead, k 2, bring down a bead, k 3, bring down a bead, k 3, bring down a bead, k4.
  5. Knit 4 rows.
  6. Bind off.
  7. Weave in ends.
  8. Sew clasps onto both sides.

  • (H) Simply Soft, soft yellow – (100% acrylic)

  1. With (A) cast on 21 stitches.
