Triangle Scarf

Stitches Used: Cast on, knit, purl, increase (knit through the front and back), bind off
Measures: 12″ wide and 31″
Gauge: In stockinette stitch, 7 stitches and 11 rows= 4″ by 4″
-Materials-
- 1 skein Bernat Softee Chunky, bright green- 164 yds 3.5 oz (100% acrylic)
- size 15 knitting needles
- yarn needle
-Pattern-
Triangle
- With 2 strands of yarn cast on 2 stitches stitches
- Knit a increase in both stitches.
- Purl 1 row.
- Knit a increase in the first stitch. Knit till there is 1 stitch left, increase.
- Repeat numbers 3 and 4 till piece measures 8″.
- Bind of in knit.
- Weave in ends.
Scarf (make 2)
- With 2 strands of yarn cast on 7 stitches.
- Knit 1 row.
- Purl 1 row.
- Repeat numbers 2 and 3 till pieces measures 21″.
- Bind of in knit.
- Weave in ends.
- Sew both scarf pieces onto the opposite side of the triangle.
- Weave in ends.

Cute! But one question – are the twisted stitches part of the design, and if so, why are they not in the pattern?
The twisted look is just the way the stockinette stitch turned out to look like. Let me know if you have any more questions. Thank you.
